We have been in school for 5 weeks and we have hit our stride. LIFE IS GREAT!!! I am so proud of all our my students. We start every morning with a class meeting. The class meeting is run by a different student every day. The meeting leader reads a quote of the day, followed by a good deed for the day. We bring up issues/concerns, come up with solutions, and my favorite, acknowledgments. We acknowledge peewee football teams, fellow students, the school nurse, and today we acknowledged a brother because he stopped his sister from putting a fork in a toaster.
This week has had many firsts. -We played our first Kahoot quiz.... a must for all teachers. -We made Green Screen news reports for Social Studies. -We changed up Math Workshop, made a mess, and had a blast. I hope the kids are having half as much fun as I am this year!

Today we celebrated International Dot Day. We joined forces with our classroom buddies, Ms. Joyner's K3-K5 class. We had so much fun watching "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds and creating our own dot! |
